Getting Ready for the 2019 Bloomsday Run

Running a 12K Race

On Sunday, May 5th, Spokane is gearing up for the annual Bloomsday Run. This 12K race is not for the faint of heart, and it’s only a few months away! If you’re planning on participating in this celebration of spring, you should start training now so you’re in top shape for the marathon. Registration for the 2019 Bloomsday Run is open now on the event’s official website, or you can register by mail; those who want to participate but don’t register in time can pay an additional fee for late registration on or before May 4th.

Bloomsday will be an all-weekend event, with the Friday and Saturday before the big day featuring a trade show devoted to the hobby of running, health, and fitness. It’s one of the country’s largest free shows dedicated to fitness-related products! There will also be a post-race party and awards show.

The 2019 Bloomsday Run website also has a number of resources for those who want to get in shape in time for Bloomsday. Training clinics are available throughout March and April, Providence Health Care offers a Training Program, the top coaches at RunDoyen are offering their services to runners, and you can even check the official site for recommendations regarding your health.

Here at George Gee Buick GMC, we are definitely looking forward to this year’s Bloomsday festivities.
