The 2019 North American International Auto Show took place
in January from the 14th to the 27th in Detroit, where
refreshed models, concept vehicles, and innovative new technologies across the
entire auto industry were revealed for the first time.
As one of the biggest auto shows in the world, the NAIAS is the place to be for the latest cars, SUVs, and trucks, especially from GM brands like Buick and GMC. Neither Buick nor GMC released a new concept at the Detroit Auto Show, but they did show off the new versions of their popular lineups.
Buick showed off the ultra-luxurious Avenir line, which
takes Buick’s premium vehicles and elevates them even further. The Enclave
Avenir, Regal Avenir, and Lacrosse Avenir have a vehicle style for everyone
while providing the latest features, unbeatable comfort, and smooth, powerful
The GMC lineup was also presented at the Detroit Auto Show,
though it’s rumored that GMC plans the debut the 2020 GMC Sierra HD Denali at
the Chicago Auto Show in February.
GMC teased the all-new Sierra HD with a video released
during the NAIAS, showing styling similar to the Sierra 1500, with the same
platform and powertrains as the 2020 Silverado 1500. Sporting the exclusive
MultiPro tailgate, the upcoming Sierra Denali HD promises state-of-the-art tech
Here at George Gee Buick GMC, we can’t wait to learn more
about the upcoming lineup of Buick and GMC vehicles.
Summer is almost over, which means it’s time to start getting ready for the new school year. However, is your car ready for the kids’ pick up time? Whether you’re looking for a new ride to make your school year easier or need to find the perfect car for your teen driver, General Motors has plenty of models that are sure to suit your needs. Here’s a look at a few of the best GM vehicles for back to school.
2019 GMC Yukon
If you’re used to carpooling during the school year, then you understand how important it is to have plenty of space in your vehicle. Well, that’s where the 2019 GMC Yukon comes in. This SUV can sit up to nine passengers and still offers 15.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row – the perfect amount of room for everyone’s bookbags.
2019 GMC Acadia
Not only does the 2019 GMC Acadia have plenty of space with seating for up to seven passengers, but it also has a slew of technologies that will help you feel confident and connected out on the road. This includes an available eight-inch GMC Infotainment System, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, and driver-assistance features like Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert to make it easier to maneuver around the school parking lot.
2018 Buick Encore
For a low price tag that doesn’t make you sacrifice all the bells and whistles you need, look no further than the 2019 Buick Encore. This compact crossover might be small, but it is extremely versatile with a maximum cargo capacity of 48.4 cubic feet, which means you can easily haul your kid’s science fair project in the back.
A terrain is any stretch of land, no matter what its features may be. The GMC Terrain, though small, is ready to tackle any terrain with ease.
Before Acadia was associated with a GMC SUV, it was recognized as the name of a territory in Canada. The winters in that area are rough—the kind that only something as capable as the GMC Acadia could handle.
Like Acadia, Yukon is a territory in Canada. Yukon borders Alaska, so it’s no surprise that its winters are equally cruel. The GMC Yukon is built to handle weather like the tough winters in Yukon itself.
The GMC Canyon is a capable mid-size truck, named after some of the rugged landscape features that it’s fit to explore.
Since a Sierra is defined as a mountain chain, it makes sense that GMC’s capable, full-size truck would be named after such a rugged terrain.
This title continues with GMC’s tradition of naming its vehicles after geographical features. Denali is the highest peak in North America. If you want the highest luxury possible, you choose the GMC Denali trim.
