The 2019 North American International Auto Show took place
in January from the 14th to the 27th in Detroit, where
refreshed models, concept vehicles, and innovative new technologies across the
entire auto industry were revealed for the first time.
As one of the biggest auto shows in the world, the NAIAS is the place to be for the latest cars, SUVs, and trucks, especially from GM brands like Buick and GMC. Neither Buick nor GMC released a new concept at the Detroit Auto Show, but they did show off the new versions of their popular lineups.
Buick showed off the ultra-luxurious Avenir line, which
takes Buick’s premium vehicles and elevates them even further. The Enclave
Avenir, Regal Avenir, and Lacrosse Avenir have a vehicle style for everyone
while providing the latest features, unbeatable comfort, and smooth, powerful
The GMC lineup was also presented at the Detroit Auto Show,
though it’s rumored that GMC plans the debut the 2020 GMC Sierra HD Denali at
the Chicago Auto Show in February.
GMC teased the all-new Sierra HD with a video released
during the NAIAS, showing styling similar to the Sierra 1500, with the same
platform and powertrains as the 2020 Silverado 1500. Sporting the exclusive
MultiPro tailgate, the upcoming Sierra Denali HD promises state-of-the-art tech
Here at George Gee Buick GMC, we can’t wait to learn more
about the upcoming lineup of Buick and GMC vehicles.
Since the introduction of the Buick Avenir trim level, Buick drivers have been excitedly embracing the new line of luxury models for the truly exceptional experience they offer. Buick drivers now have even more to be enthusiastic about, as the 2019 Buick Regal is getting an Avenir trim level. This is particularly good news for luxury drivers who want to enjoy all the benefits of the Avenir line but who prefer something smaller than the Enclave crossover or the full-size LaCrosse Sedan. The 2019 Regal TourX Wagon will not receive an Avenir trim this year.
Some of the most appealing features of the 2019 Regal Avenir include its nine-speed automatic transmission, 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels, self-leveling and cornering headlamps, premium leather upholsterer, an advanced 8-inch infotainment touchscreen display, and a premium eight-speaker Bose audio system. Apart from these features, we also expect the 2019 Regal Avenir will come with distinctive badging and a three-dimensional mesh grille.
Another popular aspect of the Avenir models is the standard feature packages that improve every aspect of the driving experience. The 2019 Regal Avenir will come standard with the Buick Driver Confidence I Package, which includes four-way lumbar adjustment, heated outside mirrors, and an array of driver-assist features like Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Park Assist.

Across its impressive lineup of luxury models, Buick offers a host of standard and available safety features that elevate the driver’s experience behind the wheel. Here’s a glimpse at a few of Buick’s best safety features, available on vehicles today at George Gee Buick GMC:
Side Blind Zone Alert
Using advanced radar to detect vehicles approaching your blind zone, Side Blind Zone Alert keeps drivers aware with a visual warning on the side mirror, reducing the number of collisions caused by blind zones.
Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
It’s easy to start drifting while you’re behind the wheel, especially in the midst of an extended trip on the freeway. Lane Departure Warning from Buick alerts drivers when they start to leave their lane if their turn signal has not been activated. It even helps to smoothly guide your vehicle back into its proper lane position.
OnStar has earned the trust of millions of driver across the United States. OnStar offers numerous emergency services, including Automatic Crash Response and Roadside Assistance, so you can embark on the open road with increased confidence for yourself and all your precious cargo.
Front Pedestrian Braking
Front Pedestrian Braking helps to protect yourself and others. The system alerts you to pedestrians ahead and, if an unavoidable collision is detected and the brakes have not already been initiated, will automatically trigger the brakes and send out both a visual and audible alert.
